Winter tyres in Latvia are mandatory from 1 December to 1 March (vehicles up to 3.5 t), with a minimum tread depth of 4 mm. Studded tyres are permitted from 1 October to 30 April. Switch as soon as the average daily temperature stays below +7 °C.
